Product Details

This machine punches ventilation holes into molded PU/memory foam and latex pillows, cushions and mattress toppers after demolding. Perforation lets trapped air escape so foam breathes, resists mold/odor during humid shipping, and recovers its shape faster after vacuum-compression packing.

Pillow foam punching machine with hydraulic press and PLC touch screen

Applicable Products

Suitable for: memory foam pillows, latex pillows, cervical/orthopedic pillows, foam cushions and mattress pads.

Model Selection

No model code is printed on the trifold brochure’s “Foam Perforating Machine” spec block (see Specifications below). A separately photographed unit carries nameplate model SUF2J20-12 (220V/3kW) — this may be an older or different generation and is not the spec source used on this page.

Technical Parameters of the Pillow Punching Machine

Parameter Value
Production Speed 8 strokes/min
Punching Diameter Ø6–Ø20 mm, customizable
Power Supply 380 V
Feeding Manual feeding
Hydraulic System 1 set
Machine Weight 3000 kg

Additional punch-plate/needle-board reference from a CAD drawing on file: plate outer size 1000 × 600 mm, working area 540 × 360 mm, Ø10mm holes on ~32mm pitch — custom plates are made per customer pillow shape, so exact hole layout is configured per order.

Capacity Calculation

At 8 strokes/min, assuming one pillow piece punched per stroke: ~480 pcs/hour ceiling. Pieces-per-stroke can vary with punch-plate design and pillow size — confirm with our team before quoting a fixed daily output.

Production Process

  1. Molded foam pillow/cushion is demolded and trimmed.
  2. Operator manually places the foam piece on the punching table under the needle/pin plate.
  3. Hydraulic press cycle drives the pin plate down, punching an array of ventilation holes in one stroke (8 strokes/min).
  4. Table/plate retracts, operator removes the punched piece and loads the next.
  5. Punched pieces proceed to packing (bagging/rolling) stage.

Equipment Composition

  • Hydraulic punching head with multiple guided pins/blades mounted on a vertical press frame
  • Safety mesh guarding around the punch head with light-curtain style vertical guards
  • Fixed worktable for placing foam pieces
  • Control panel with push-buttons (start/stop/emergency stop) and a small HMI/display
  • Interchangeable punch plate/needle board — custom plates made per customer pillow shape (lead time/cost: contact us)

Workshop / Utility Requirements

  • Electrical supply: 380 V (see Specifications above)
  • Compressed air: not specified for this machine in the current spec block — needs factory confirmation
  • Floor space: minimum footprint 1420 × 760 × 2760 mm plus operator access and staging area for foam pieces before/after punching
