Polyurethane screen panels are the wear-facing decks used in mining, quarrying and aggregate screening. Cast PU replaces steel and rubber because it lasts far longer against abrasion, cuts noise and keeps aperture size stable — which protects your screening accuracy. The panels are cast on a PU elastomer casting machine; we build the machine, you supply the PU system.
What You Need
- PU elastomer casting machine (often a larger-shot model for panel volume)
- Screen panel moulds — per aperture pattern and panel size
- Steel frame/inserts where the design calls for them
- PU system — sourced by you
The Process
- Insert prep — clean and prime any steel frame or reinforcement so the PU bonds.
- Mould conditioning — preheat; aperture pins must be clean and correctly seated.
- Meter, mix, pour — the machine doses polyol and isocyanate at fixed ratio; large panels need enough shot capacity to fill before gel.
- Gel and demould.
- Post-cure to reach full abrasion resistance.
- Trim and check apertures.
