A PU machine is industrial equipment used to produce polyurethane products by precisely metering, mixing, and dispensing two or more liquid chemical components — typically polyol and isocyanate — so they react and expand, cure, or bond into foam, elastomer, or adhesive parts. Depending on the application, this reaction is delivered through foaming (filling a mold or cavity with expanding foam), spraying (applying a foam or coating directly onto a surface), or casting and dispensing (precisely depositing liquid polyurethane for elastomer parts, gaskets, glue lines, or gel fill). PU machines are most commonly grouped by working pressure into high-pressure foam machines, which mix chemicals at the mixing head under high pressure for fast, high-output production, and low-pressure foam machines, which mix at lower pressure for smaller batches, prototyping, or lower-volume lines; a second grouping is by process and output, covering spray foam machines, air filter dispensing machines, PU foam packaging machines, gel dispensing machines, glue dispensing machines, elastomer casting machines, and gasket dispensing machines — nine machine categories in total, detailed individually below.
